Project Overview
Heritage Chocolates, a leading Victorian chocolate manufacturer, faced significant challenges managing internal heat within its finished goods warehouse, especially during peak summer months. The high internal temperatures posed a risk of chocolate melting before shipment, threatening both product integrity and revenue.
To combat this, Thermoshield was commissioned to apply a ceramic thermal insulation membrane to key roof sections. The goal: reduce A/C load, maintain optimal storage conditions, and provide measurable performance results over time.

Scope of Works
- Surface Preparation
- Power washing of zincalume sheeting at 3,500 psi
- Removed oxidation, dust, and surface contaminants
- Priming & Bonding
- Full roof etch primed for adhesion and surface stabilisation
- Thermal Coating
- Two coats of Thermoshield ceramic membrane applied at 500 micron wet film thickness each
- Applied to warehouse and office roofs for maximum benefit
- Performance Validation
- Surface and internal temperature data collected before and after application
- Thermal loggers installed to provide ongoing temperature profiles
